The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 156, 226 and 264. Prior to the war he was a labourer of Kensington Vic. He enlisted 9th July 1915 aged 22years. He served with the 1st Infantry Battalion, and earned a Military Medal during the war. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 20th June 1919.
