Son of George James Osmond and Fanny Jane Osmond nee Venables of Tumbarumba, NSW.

Brother of Lionel Egbert Clement (Robert) Osmond who was killed in action on 20 July 1916 while serving with the 30th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the VC Corner Australian Memorial, Panel 2

Next of kin given as his guardian Dixon Bailey of  Alstonville, NSW.
