NIXON THOMPSON


Nixon was born in Faisabad in India in March, 1879

He immigrated from England to Australia with wife, Esther and three eldest children in 1910 arriving in Melbourne in Jan 1911.

Nixon enlisted in the 1st AIF and trained at Broadmeadows. He sailed from Port Melbourne in June 1916 sailing for Plymouth on the HMAT Wandilla and returned in 1919.

Nixon was a carpenter and later applied for work in Tocumwal in country Victoria and later in Melbourne.
