Born 1883 at Cockfighter Creek Wollombi. Enlisted in 20 Jan. 1916. Served in 34 Battalion AIF was gasses and injured by gunshot & shrapnel in France. Was returned to Austrlia in 1919, suffered some sort of head injury about the ship "City of York" and was admitted to the ships hospital suffering hallucinations. Upon the death of his father his mother lived with Peter who was a pensioner. He died in 1930 in Callen Park mental institution. Family lore indicated his death was conected with his military service and he suffered from gas poisoning.
