5 Dec 1914: Embarked Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Sister, AANS, Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Embarked on HMAT 'A55' Kyarra from Melbourne, disembarking Egypt.
1 Oct 1915: Transferred Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Sister, Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1),

  • 29th November 1914 - posted to 2nd Australian General Hospital Cairo
  • 1st October 1915 - returned to Australia on duty on HMAT 'A14' Euripides
  • 15th December 1915 - posted to No. 9 Base Hospital 'Roseneath' Austins Ferry (near Hobart Tasmania). Correspondence on her service record states that during her time at 'Roseneath' she had advised she was anxious to return to Egypt and that she is fit and well
  • 20th March 1916 - embarked on HMAT 'A9' Shropshire for return to England
  • 17th January 1917 - posted to No. 2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital Napsbury, Middlesex England
  • 22nd January 1917 - posted to No. 1 Australian General Hospital
  • 18th February 1917 - posted to No. 2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Southall England
  • 17 Mar 1917: Embarked Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Sister, AANS, Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Returned to Australia for treatment and discharge on HMAT 'A72' Beltana from Plymouth, England on 17th March 1917. Sister McKillop was admitted to No. 11 Australian General Hospital on 2nd September 1917 and transferred to Dr. Drake's Private Hospital Mitcham of 7th September 1917.
