                   appointed to B Company, 2nd Depot Battalion, Mitcham Camp

16/9/1915    appointed to 27th Battalion, 7th Reinforcement

12/1/1916    embarked from Outer Harbour, onboard HMAT A7 Medic
                   as a Private in 27th Battalion, 7th Reinforcement

21/3/1916    embarked at Alexandria for overseas,  onboard HT Oriana
27/3/1916     disembarked at Marseilles, France

2/5/1916      taken on strength of 27th Battalion

8/5/1916      Medical report
                   Private reported sick at Armentiere, France
                   with a cough and haemophtysis (loss of weight).  Has had abdominal
                   pain and diarrhoea.  Had pleurisy 3 years ago, has had winter cough and
                   asthma.  General health quite good.   Numerous T.B. in sputum.
                   --  Aggravated by exposure (by active service)

14/5/1916     transferred to Dieppo, for England
15/5/1916     admitted to 3rd London General Hospital

24/6/1916     embarked onboard HT Euripides, at Plymouth, England, for Australia

24/6/1916     returned to Australia
8/8/1916       disembarked at Melbourne, Victoria

19/8/1916     admitted to 7th Australian General Hospital
24/8/1916

25/7/1917     discharged from service

Medals:          British War medal (9560) and  Victory Medal (9496)

His name is commemorated on Panel 110 at the Australian War Memorial,
Canberra, ACT.

17/10/1917    passed away of Tubercle Pulmonary of Lung, at 40 years of age
