He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 12 April 1918 and embarked at Sydney for overseas on 8 May 1918 per RMS "Osterley". He died as a result of a motor accident, aged 19 years.
Son of Alfred Ernest and Matilda Rachel Davis, of Wendource Parade, Ballarat, Victoria.
