Biography

Lance-Corporal BERT FREEMAN, of the 10th Battalion, son of Mrs. A. Freeman, Albert-street, Goodwood, was killed in action on August 10 in France, after nearly three years of active service. He was born and educated at Gawler. He left Australia with the 8th Reinforcements of the 27th Battalion, and was transferred to the 10th Battalion in Egypt. He was of genial disposition and was well liked by all who knew him.
