President of the Queensland State Branch in 1930 he remained in this position until 1967.  From 1960 to his retiremnt in 1967 he also held the postion as Deputy National President.

Son of Edward William Huish and Amelia Ann Huish of Rundle Estate, Rundle Street, Rockhampton, QLD.

Brother of Harold Arthur Frederick Huish who returned to Australia on 3 August 1919 having served with the 5th Light Horse and Stanley Robert Huish who returned to Australia on 2 September 1919 having served with the 2nd Remount Unit

Commenced return to Australia on 28 June 1919 aboard HT Madras disembarking on 3 August at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane.

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal 

On 1 November 1921 Raymond married Hilda May Weber in QLD.

On 11 May 1937 Raymond was awarded The Order of the British Empire - Commander (Civil) (Imperial) and on 1 June 1953 he was awarded the Knight Bachelor (Imperial)
