Son of Charles E and Zillah DEAN, 'Livingstone', Livingstone Road, Petersham, Sydney, New South Wales

John saw service in France and was wounded at Bapaume 12 October 1917 and invalided to the 1st Australia Auxillary Hosptial London, returned to duty 22 May 1918 and transferred to the 1st Division Mobile Section.
