Real name Francis Opie but better known as Frank
Son of Edwin Opie and Tryphena Opie nee Paterson of Corbett Street, Ballarat East, Victoria.
Commenced return to Australia on 12 May 1918 aboard HS Gaika as nursing staff disembarking on 5 July 1918

During 1922c Frank married Mary Dorothea Lukey in Victoria
