Son of Edwin Alexander Ure and Helen Elder Ure nee Wilson of Carrol Crescent, East Malvern, Victoria.
16 May 1916 - enlisted at Melbourne, Victoria, with the 21st Battalion and with the rank of Private.
21 November 1918 - transferred to the 22nd Battalion
25 January 1919 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Ceramic disembarking on 23 March 1919
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
20 April 1918 - discharged at the 3rd Military District as medically unfit
