Private Llewelyn was enlisted as No. 1732 in the 2nd of 17th Battalion. He embarked per the “Ionian" for Alexandria arriving 11/09/1915 and taken on ration strength Gallipoli Peninsular 17/09/1915. He disembarked Alexandria 9/01/16 and then disembarked Marseiles 23/03/1916. He was wounded at the battle of Pozieres 26/07/1916 and eventually hospitalised in Etaples before being sent to Evington hospital in England. He was repatriated to Australia on the” Karoola” 22/03/1917.
