Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Harmond Johnson’s father stated on his Roll of Honour form “This son was one of six of my sons who enlisted, five in the A.I.F., and one in the Navy, two of the others were wounded, one twice, the other 3 times, two of them were away just on 4 years.”
This was correct, there were six sons enlisted, one a fifteen-year-old in the Navy during 1918 and another 18-year-old who enlisted in 1918 but the war ended before he got to embark overseas.
They were the sons of Horatio Edward Johnson, Tweed River, New South Wales, their mother Sarah had passed away during 1908.
