Son of Thomas Hayes of Shannon View House, Meentula, Murrol County of Limerick, Ireland
Court of Inquiry held in the field found him guilty as being an illegal absentee on 18 July 1918. He had left England on 2 January 1918 but had not joined his unit
Not eligible for medals
