Died on this date - 7th February........another very sad day in 1917 - 5 Australian Soldiers died in England.... Pte Young was one

Private Charles Henry Young was born at Rozelle, Sydney, New South Wales around 1887 & enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 10th October, 1916. He arrived in England for further training with 1st Battalion on 10th January, 1917.

Private Young was admitted to Fargo Military Hospital on 3rd February, 1917 with Influenza. He was reported seriously ill with Broncho Pneumonia on 5th February, 1917 but sadly died at 6.00 p.m. on 7th February, 1917 from Broncho Pneumonia.

5 AIF SOLDIERS WERE BURIED in Durrington Cemetery between 12th & 14th February, 1917. Durrington Cemetery, Wiltshire contains 141 Australian WW1 Soldiers.
