Arthur Vincent AWBURN was born in Wodonga, Victoria on 7th February, 1897

His parents were George Thomas AWBURN &Mary Ann ECK

He enlisted on 16th July, 1915 and embarked on the HMAT Commonwealth on 26th November, 1915 with the 22nd Infantry Battalion, 7th Reinforcements

He returned to Australia on 13th April, 1919 on the HT Castalia and was discharged on 30th August, 1919 as medically unfit

He married Eileen Constance Mary McHUGH on 25th September, 1925 in a Nuptial Mass at Seddon in Victoria

Arthur died on 5th February, 1973 and is buried in Wodonga Cemetery
