Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

Leslie was the son of Stephen Bolton Collier and Susannah Prout MacDonald Collier; and husband of Lily Carrington Collier, of Summer Hill, NSW. He had an infant daughter when he was killed at Fromelles.

His older brother, who was born Frederick Rowley Collier but served as 4096 Pte. Frederick Rowley-Collier 30th Battalion AIF, was later killed in action at Passchendaele in Belgium on 13 October 1917.
