REV CHARLES NEVILLE
Rev Charles Neville, who up to 12 months ago was senior Army chaplain of the Presbyterian Church in Victoria, died at the home of his son, Mr Douglas Neville, at Kilmore East yesterday, at the age of 69. He served as chaplain in the last war and was mentioned in despatches. His last charge was the Union Memorial Church, North Melbourne. Last year he became ill, and was forced to relinquish his Army work.
He played a part in the founding of St Andrew's Hospital, was an expresident of the Geelong RSL, and a director of the Geelong RSL Woollen Mills. Mr Neville leaves a widow, who lives at Kilmore East with her son.
There will be a service at Sleight's Chapel, St Kildard, tomorrow, at 10am, followed by a private cremation at Springvale.
