10 March 1916 - Transferred to 22 Howitzer Brigade

11 May 1917 - Held rank of gunner

26 March 1918 - Court Martialled for Desertion found not guilty.Later downgranded to AWOL and found guilty. Sentenced to 12 months imprisonment which was commuted to 12 months detention with a loss of pay

29 July 1918 - Released from detention

22 August 1918 - Rejoined unit in France

13 September 1918 - Wounded in action, severe gunshot wound to the left arm. Invalid to England before returning to Australia for discharge

12 December 1918 - Returned to Australia on board Nestor

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

27 September 1919 - Married Ruby Jean Searle in the Methodist Church, Prospect North, South Australia

Between 1938 and 1942 resided in North Queensland

22 June 1942 - Resided at  10 Arcadia Road, Glebe Point, NSW
