Peter Lowe Ross, was born to parents William Arnott ROSS and Agnes nee LOWE (second wife of William) in Scotland in 1871. He was one of 8 children.

His family left Scotland for New Zealand when he was 3 years old. The family then moved to South Australia when he was aged six in 1877. His Father William died in 1881 leaving behind a widow with six children. Agens never married again and she died in Sth Aust. in 1914.

Trove indicates that Peter was well respected in his community and was very active in the RSL. He was at the time of his death Secretary of the West Perth RSL Sub branch.
