21st February 1918 - enlisted at Sydney with the 20th General Service Reinforcements with the rank of Private.

10 December 1918 - transferred to the 57th Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 8 September 1919 aboard HT Raranga disembarking on 29 October 1919 

Medal: British War Medal

14 November 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District
