Evan Jenkins was a young soldier that fought in the battle of the Great War (WW1). When he enlisted, he was 18 years and 11 months old. Evan Jenkins was a student. Evan was born in Unley, South Australia, Australia. Evan Jenkins was 5 feet and 6.75 inches and his weight was 142 1bs. Jenkins had dark hair and his eye's were brown. He lived at Port Pirie.

Evan enlisted in Adelaide, Australia, on the 27/8/15. Evan was ranked as a sapper and his service number and regimental was 6411. His unit was the 3rd Field Company of Engineers, attached to the 3rd Brigade. Evan embarked on the 20/3/16. In 21/12/16 Evan went to a hospital in France due to being sick. On the third of January 1917, Evan Jenkins rejoined the unit form being sick.

Evan was unfortunately was discharged due to medical reasons. On 6/5/17 Evan was wounded in action at the Second Battle of Bullecourt. After a month of treatment in France, he was evacuated to England on the hospital ship St David in June. He also spent some time in the Australian military hospital at Harefield. However, his wound did not much improve and on 5/11/17 he boarded a ship to return to Australia for medical discharge.
