21 Nov 1916:	Honoured Military Medal, In conjunction with Sgt. Anson this N.C.O. at Maze (near Plers) on the night of the 21st October 1916. His party out-bombed a German patrol and killed two Germans. His fine work in the trenches stimulated his party to stick to an Important isolated post, knee-deep in mud for 48 hours, doing good work all the time.
