Son of William Wallace and Jane WILES, 70 Flood Street, Leichhardt, NSW

Husband of Iris Wiles, of "Nippo", Lucas Rd., Burwood, NSW

William served in France and made the supreme sacrifice at Bullecourt on 12 May 1917.

WILES.—Killed in action, May 12, 1917, Gunner W. J. Wiles, dearly loved busband of Iris Wiles (nee Stuart), Nippo, Lucas-road, Burwood. Deeply mourned.
Angels in the Book will write,
This lad struck with all his might
For God, for honour, and the right.

He marched away so bravely,
His young head proudly held,
His footsteps never faltered,
His courage never failed.
His King and country called him,
The call was not in vain,
In Australia's roll of honour
You will find our hero's name.
