Son of Louis Montgomery De Valle and Mary R. De Valle nee Whitecross of Jika Jika, Victoria previously of Williamstown, Victoria. Brother of Alexander De Valle who returned to Australia on 28 September 1918 having served with the 39th Battalion.
Husband of Elsie May Louis De Valle of Gwynne Street, South Richmond, Victoria. Father of Muriel Joyce De Valle
Commenced return to Australia on 21 December 1917 aboard HT Persic disembarking on 12 February 1918.
