Occupation - Blacksmith

David was the Blacksmith in Hopetoun, Victoria. On joining the AIF in 1914 he was enlisted into the 9th Light Horse as a Farrier.

He was married to Emma Berth Trotter, who was from Warracknabeal, Victoria. They married in 1908, and lived together in Hopetoun till 1914 when David enlisted.

They had 4 children together. Lovell David, Verna May, Ruby Monica, and Mavis Jean.

Emma moved from Hopetoun to Abbotsford / Collingwood in 1915 and passed away 15th April 1962.
