David Criddle was one of the six sons of James Criddle (1857-1927) and Emma Pell (1859-1944) of Naraling, Western Australia that volunteered for World War 1.
David and his brother, Harold, were both Prisoners of War in Germany. Both returned to Australia.
He received the Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, and the Victory Medal.
