Edgar Richard Tink was born in April 1894 in Warracknabeal, Victoria. Edgar was only 21 years and 6 months when he enlisted. He was 5 feet and 6 ½ inches and weighed 136 pounds. Edgar’s religion was Methodist and he worked as a Bank Clerk. His father William Henry Tink was his nominated next of kin. He enlisted 18th October 1915 and embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A60 Aeneas on 11 April 1916.

Tink returned to Australia 22 August 1919. On January 21st, 1974, Edgar Richard Tink passed away aged 80 at Fairlight, New South Wales due to natural causes.
