Husband of Louisa Margaret O'Leary of Narracoorte, SA. John and Louisa married on 30 June 1898 in Naracoorte, SA.

Commenced return to Australia on 10 March 1918 aboard HT Orontes disembarking on 10 May 1918 at Melbourne for onward travel to Adelaide.
