FRED MILTON BRAY SANDERCOCK, son of the late Mr. Alfred Sandercock and Mrs. Sandercock, was born at Port Wakefield, South Australia, on 12th April, 1897. He was educated at the Adelaide High School, and entered the service of the Bank at Adelaide on 26th July, 1915, from whence he was transferred to Kapunda on 5 th December, 1916, as teller.
Fred Sandercock enlisted as a member of the A.I.F. on 31st May, 1918, and served with the A.A.P.C. and A.A.M.C. He embarked in August, 1918, serving in England and France, and being promoted to the rank of honorary sergeant on 15th November, 1918. On 9th December, 1919, he received his discharge from the A.I.F.
