Biography contributed by Sharyn Roberts

LECTURE ON PALESTINE.

Tonight in the Baptist Church the Rev. F. R. French will deliver his Interesting and entertaining lecture,"A Trip Through Palestine." Mr. French has gained much fame in Port Pirie as a lecturer. The lecture will be illustrated by clear slides. Palestine, ever a place of interest, on account of its wonderful history will be doubly so now owing to the great part our Australian heroes have played during the past few months in the capture of Jerusalem and its surroundings. This will also be the last opportunity we will have for along time of listening to Mr. French, who is on the eve of his departure for West Australia, where he has been transferred. The gross proceeds are to be devoted to assisting Mrs. Lydeamore and family.
