Harry Nutman DERRICK was born in Tallangatta Valley, Victoria in 1886

His parents were Henry John DERRICK & Jane SINCLAIR

He enlisted on 16th February, 1916 & embarked from Melbourne on the HMAT Persic on 3rd June, 1916 with the 37th Infantry Battalion, C Company

Harry was  taken as a Prisoner of War and died in the Quedlinburg Prison Camp in Germany on 12th November, 1918

He is buried in the Neiderzwehren Cemetery and his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial

Inscription reads "Love & remembrance last forever"

His brother Horace DERRICK (SN1625) 37th Infantry Battalion was Killed in Action on 8th June, 1917 at Messines
