Ernest Sydney Rudolph MEYER was born in 1897 in Glebe, Sydney, NSW
His parents were Carl Wilhelm Rudolph MEYER and Georgina Helen Crompton ECKLEY who married in 1876
Two of his brothers also served in WW1
1. Norman MEYER (SN1414) returned to Australia in 1919
2. Percy Carl MEYER (SN1575) returned to Australia in 1918
