Tom Carlye Claude Fleming

TOM CARLYLE CLAUDE FLEMING (1904-1958) born at Coburg, VIC, son of Henry Courtney and Jane Fleming nee Cuddihy. Prior to the commencement of WW1. Tom served as a Military staff clerk in Melbourne from January 1st, 1912 to September 10th. Tom then enlisted as Staff Sargent 6277 on May 14th, 1915 in the 13th Field Artillery Brigade. He embarked on HMAT A18 Wiltshire from Melbourne. He was listed for return to Australia on November 18th, 1915 after serving a total of 1,565 days including 1,324 overseas. With the outbreak of WW2 he enlisted as Private N279010 CMF, 2nd Supply Personnel Company at Greta from August 14th, 1941 to August 29th, 1941 when he was required for a reserved occupation at Garden Island, Sydney.
