Cpl Ambrose Mason who was killed in action in France on 5 November 1916.
Ambrose went to school at Riverstone Public School. At that time the school was located in the building which now houses the Museum. He trained to be a teacher and was posted to schools around Corowa in country New South Wales.
He enlisted in the A.I.F. and departed from Australia on 5 October 1915, along with Phil Bambridge, Eric Mathews, and John Hayward, all from Riverstone.
