Severin Leslie JAPPE was born in Bundaberg, Queensland on 11th October, 1893

His parents were Johan Henrik JAPPE & Mathilde SVENINGSEN who married on 23rd October, 1870 in Oslo, Norway.

He married Ivy May STANTON in Queensland on 22nd August, 1922

He was captured as a prisoner of war in Reincourt on 11th April, 1917 & interred in Limburg - transferred to Friedrichafeld - repatriated to the UK & returned to Australia on 15th June 1919 arriving on 4th August, 1919 - he was discharged on 18th September, 1919
