Son of William and Jane Ewing KELLEY, 41 Orange Avenue, Mildura, Victoria.

Patrick Leo Kelley, son of Mrs. J.E. Kelley, of 41 Orange Avenue, Mildura, was educated at the Warrnambool High School, and afterwards taught at the Ararat School.  He was then transferred to Macarthur.  His offical record as teacher shows that he had very good teaching power, and was diligent and earnest.  He enlisted on the 30th December1916, and embarked with the 12th reinforcements to the the 6th Machine Gun Company, on the Suevic on the 21st of June, 1917.  After training in England, he proceeded to France, and was taken on the strength of the 22nd Battalion.  He was wounded on the 13th of March, 1918 and invalided to England, but rejoined his unit in France on the 13th of July, and was killed on the 4th of October, at the age of 22 1/2 years.
