Son of Charles Dibden Neck and Mabel Jane (nee Thornton) Neck of Birks Street, Parkside, SA;  brother of Alfred Harold Neck, Eveleen Emily Neck, Cyril Reginald Neck, Winifred Gladys Neck, Maud Hazel Neck, Olive Grace Neck and  Herbert Edward Neck

On 2 May 1925 Sidney married Dorothy Rose Jeanes in St Michael's Church, Mitcham, SA. Father of Maurice Allan Neck
