Hugh Gillies Cameron Spence
Hugh Gillies Cameron Spence left Australia with the AIF Lighthorse but was offered a commission with the Imperial Camel Corp as second Lieutenant and was active in Palestine with T.E.Lawrence.He is mention in the preface of Lawrence's book "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. He was also mentioned in dispatches by Allenby and was awarded the order of the El Nadha by the king of the Hejaz Feisal.
