His Mother has lost her Son and was told he has MM medal was put on his grave printed in books. His Mother asked for the MM Medal and they say they cannot find recommendation so was taken of his grave crossed out in books.

Private TOMMY E. MARRIOTT, MM., of the 27th Battalion, D Company, was killed in action on August 30 in France. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Marriott. He was born at Ardrossan on October 8 1894, and attended the Ardrossan public school. He was a moulder by trade. He was a member of the Ardrossan Football Club, and he had a smile for all. He en- listed in 1916, and embarked for England on August 28 of that year. He won the Military Medal, and was continually on duty till his death. He had many friends.
