COWELL RSL SUB BRANCH

Frank Laurie Williams LLB JP was a solicitor in Cowell for 32 years. He was a prominent driver of progress in the town and was president or committee member of most organisations, boards and clubs in the district. He was Chairman of the Council and President of the Stockowners Northern Districts Assoc, President of the Institute, the AH&F Society amongst others and was very much missed, having died so young (59) His grave is at the Cowell Cemetery. His son Forbes Laurie Williams enlisted in WW2.
