Biography

"LATE PTE. GEORGE CYRIL VERCOE.

Mrs. E. Vercoe, of Robert street, Moonta, has been notified that her second son, George Cyril Vercoe, died in France of wounds on August 30. He enlisted in Western Australia in September of last year. Prior to going to the west the deceased was attached to the Union Bank at Moonta. He served afterwards in to branches at Kadina, Laura, Kingscote, and later at the Adelaide office, whence he was transferred to the western State.
