Albert Smedley BEVERSTOCK was born on 7th September, 1885 in Woollahra, Sydney, NSW
His parents were James BEVERSTOCK & Henrietta KINGCOTT who married in 1871 in Sydney
He married Eva Mary Pearl QUINN in 1911 in Sydney
Albert enlisted on 29th December, 1916 to serve in WW1 with the 1st Railway Section & embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Wiltshire on 7th February, 1917 - he returned to Australia on 15th April, 1918 on the ship Kanowna arriving on 25th May, 1918 and was discharged on 30th August, 1918
He enlisted for WW1 for the 2nd time on 17th September, 1919 with the Special Service and embarked from Sydney on 18th September, 1919 on the SS Frankfurt - he returned to Australia on the ship HT Konigin Luise embarking from overseas on 30th December, 1919 for demobilization and was discharged on 6th April, 1920
He was awarded the British War Medal & the Victory medal

Albert enlisted for WW2 on 6th February, 1942 using the name Albert SMEDLEY and the birth year of 1892 and joined the RAAF in Sydney as a Corporal - his last rank was Leading Aircraftman
He died of a coronery occlusion on 13th June 1944 at the RAAF Station in Bradfield Park, Lindfield, Sydney and is buried in Rookwood War Cemetery
