Francis Marret Secker (1890-1963), station hand and solider was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He was the son of Elizabeth Cecilia Secker and brother of May Catherine Plate. He was educated at Christian Brothers College. He enlisted on the 29th of June 1915 in Keswick, South Australia at 25 years old. Secker embarked on the 18th of November 1915 in Gellong at the age of 25. He was captured at Fromelles and served out the war as POW.
