Wallace Victor DESCHAMPS was born in Townsville, Queensland on 16th June 1880

His parents were August Victor DESCHAMPS & Rose HIND

He married Ida Frances BAYSDEN on 2nd June 1910 in Germiston, Transvaal, South Africa

He served in both the Boer War & WW1 and died of cancer in Egypt on 23rd March, 1915

His brother William Fraley DESCHAMPS (SN 6407) was killed in Action in Belgium on 21st September, 1917
