Son of Thomas Fergus Cooper and Frances Catherine Cooper of Sydney, NSW
Husband of Ruth Cooper nee Bartlett of 'The Nook', Thornleigh Road, Beecroft, NSW. Harold and Ruth married during 1908c in Newtown, NSW
At the time of ennlistment he was employed with the Railway Department, Darling Harbour and was given leave to enlist with the A.I.F
Commenced the return to Australia on 21 March 1919 aboard Kildonian Castle disembarking on 9 May 1919
