Harold was born in Townsville on 28 Jun 1890, son of John Henry Sleigh and Flora Albina Norman.
Private Sleigh enlisted in Townsville on 6 Dec 1915, aged 25, and embarked from Brisbane per HMAT A50 “Itonus” on 8 Aug 1916.
He served with the 10th Field Ambulance AAMC on the Western Front, and returned to Australia on 1 Aug 1919.
He died in Townsville on 22 Feb 1985. He was a clerk.
