Son of Frederick George ACKLAND and Mary Dorothy CUMMING

PRIVATE R. C. ACKLAND.
Private Rupert C. Ackland, of the mounted machine gun section, who has died of wounds received in the fighting around El Ariah, was
19 years of age, and was a son of Mr. Fred. Ackland, of Birchip, Victoria. He was educated at Fort-street High School, and previous to enlisting was employed in the Crown Law Office. Private Ackland, who was a nephew of Mr, R. J. Ackland, of Royalist street, Mosman, resided with his grandfather at Holt-avenue, Mosman.
