Samuel Reuben Harris was born on the 8th of March in 1888. He went on to be a farmer. He enlisted on the 28th of March in 1916 and departed Australia on the 28th of October 1916. Some other information about Samuel Reuben Harris is his height (5,5), weight 136lb or 61 kilograms. He had brown eyes, and dark hair, and he wasn’t married. Samuel Reuben Harris went to serve in the war as part of the 32nd battalion. This battalion was mainly known for partaking in the battle of Polygon Wood which was a smaller part of the second phase of the third battle of Ypres which is in Belgium. Other details about Samuel Reuben Harris’s service include that he was wounded on the 29th of April 1918, any other wounds or sicknesses where not listed in documents. Samuel Reuben Harris was also promoted from a private (PTE) to a driver (DVR). Samuel Reuben Harris returned to Australia on the 7th of September 1919. Samuel was awarded two medals, the British war medal, and the Victory medal. After returning home there are no mentions of Samuel Reuben Harris until the 23rd of April 1942 where he enlisted for world war two at Mount Barker at the age of 51 with a service number of SN S80444, there are no other mentions of him other than the fact that he was discharged on the 25th of September 1945 after the end of world war two.
